Capital Lighting - Field Service Technician

Job Description

Rite Rug is looking for a detail oriented, reliable Service Technician to join our family. This position would work out of our Capital Lighting division.

$23.50 an hour

Position Summary

As a service technician at Capital Lighting each day will be filled with variety of installations. We have the opportunity to install and repair light fixtures as well as ceiling fans in newly built homes. You will find yourself performing installs in un-occupied homes as well as occupied. This will require attention to detail and skill set to work with electric. The ability to clearly communicate is a skill that is also required. This will allow you to work with the home buyers and or building superintendent's as well as the office staff to share any and all details that pertain to how each job finished up.

Skills/Qualifications

Ability to complete above job description in a competent and professional manner

Ability to go up and down A-frame ladders up to 16 feet along with extension ladders that extend up to 20 feet without fear of heights

Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills are a plus

Customer Focus - Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of the job/customer

Clean background and valid driver’s license – must possess clean driving record to be considered for company vehicle insurance coverage

Ability to work in tandem at times with other technician(s)

Possess positive attitude while at work

Familiarity of Columbus Metro area is a plus

Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30 to 4:00
