Experienced Installation Technician Greenfield, Illinois

Summary:

Installation or repair of truck equipment and related accessories. A successful candidate will have prior training and/or experience performing equipment installation either in the truck equipment or related industries such as agricultural

or industrial. Must have good understanding of basic automotive electrical and hydraulics. Welding experience is a

plus. Starting pay based on experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Efficiently assemble & install diverse types of truck equipment such as, but not limited to: snowplows, service bodies, lift gates, dump bodies and other related truck equipment.

Utilize hand and power tools such as a drill, impact wrench, air ratchet, grinders, etc.

Efficiently complete jobs to manufacturers specifications

Value customer relations and provide efficient attention to customer requirements.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Interact with the parts manager to ensure all parts required to perform assigned jobs are correct.

Be team oriented and possess a positive attitude with a willingness to learn.

Qualifications and Education:

1-year previous experience preferred

Technician must have his or her own tools. Welder, plasma cutter, oxygen acetylene torch and shop equipment will be provided by Morrow Brothers Ford.

Possess mechanical and fabricating skills

Proper diagnosis and repair of vehicles and related equipment

Knowledge of basic hydraulics and 12-volt electrical systems

Ability to safely operate a plasma cutter and oxygen/acetylene torch

Follow verbal and written instructions

Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics

Availability to work overtime on short notice

Attention to detail along with quality and efficient work performance

Regular and consistent on time attendance

Possess a valid driver’s license

Physical Requirements: while performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand for prolonged periods of time, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, or twist. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Must possess normal color vision, good close-up vision, either normal or with corrective lenses. Must possess complete dexterity of hands. Must be able to endure the possibility of exposure to extreme weather.

Job Type: Full-time. Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM with the possibility of overtime.

Starting Pay: $25.00 – $44.00 per hour (based on experience)

Sign on bonus: Based on experience and signing a 3-year employment contract.
