Sr. Accountant

Job Description

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced INTERIM Senior Accountant/General Ledger (GL) Accountant to assist our client's team for approximately 6 months. The role will have about 2 to 3 weeks of onboarding in Shelbyville, TN. The client is a private equity-owned manufacturing firm, with three manufacturing locations utilizing the IFS software system.

The successful candidate will have the primary responsibility of spearheading the balance sheet reconciliations to clear a backlog. This involves cleaning up about 20 accounts, the trail balance, meeting deadlines, GL maintenance, adjusting entries and account analysis. You will also be required to document processes for maintenance moving forward.

After an initial onboarding period in Shelbyville, TN, that should last 2 to 3 weeks, the role is 90% remote (occasional visits to Shelbyville going forward).

· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

· Proven experience in General Ledger accounting, particularly balance sheet reconciliations

· Experience in a manufacturing environment will be an added advantage

· Proficiency in IFS software would be helpful

· Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis

· Ability to analyze and interpret financial data

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

· Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively
