Controls Systems Engineer

Job Description

Position Summary:

Seeking an experienced Control Systems Engineer to join a dynamic team, focused on optimizing and enhancing manufacturing operations through expert management and development of control systems.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation and Control Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.

Registration:

Professional Engineering (PE) registration preferred but not required.

Qualifications:

2 to 10 years of experience in instrumentation and control systems engineering

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Bluebeam

Knowledge of industry standards for instrumentation and controls

Familiarity with PLC, HMI, and DCS systems

Experience in PLC/DCS programming is advantageous

Job Responsibilities:

Produce detailed installation plans, including electric room layouts, cable schedules, control panel layouts, loop diagrams, and instrumentation plans

Develop control narratives and specify process instrumentation tailored to project needs

Size control valves using vendor software to ensure precise control within system operations

Create and manage specifications and data sheets for instrumentation, analyzers, control systems, and actuated valves

Conduct thorough reviews of vendor submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications

Liaise with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration and communication for timely project completions

Evaluate vendor bid submittals to select optimal solutions for projects

Compile scopes, drawings, and specifications into comprehensive procurement packages

Contribute to the development and refinement of P&IDs focusing on instrumentation and control aspects

Pay Details: $40.00 to $60.00 per hour
