Showroom Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Showroom Manager to join us. As Showroom Manager, you will enjoy a showroom-based sales and leadership role with a strong focus on the development and nurturing of relationships with Interior Designers. You will be responsible for maintaining an exceptional service to all visitors, setting an enthusiastic and energetic atmosphere and building brand awareness throughout the industry.

We are a collective of six luxury interior brands, each with a special role to play, and two manufacturing brands (Anstey Wallpaper Company and Standfast & Barracks). At Sanderson Design Group (SDG) we are Zoffany, Sanderson, Morris & Co., Harlequin, Clarke & Clarke and Scion and our purpose is ‘to bring the beautiful into people’s homes and lives’.

Responsibilities

Day-to-day management of the Showroom

Development and cultivation of relationships with Interior Designers inside and outside of the showroom, working with them on existing projects and developing new opportunities

Lead and train the team to provide an efficient and exceptional service for all visitors to the showroom, while creating a memorable experience

Lead all showroom implementation processes and driving consistent execution of the brands visual strategy to create an exceptional customer experience

Ensure the Brands are appropriately represented within the showroom, while giving guidance to the merchandising teams on the needs of the business

Ensure all visitors to the showroom understand the DNA of each brand and what is has to offer

Act as the first point of contact, lead and recruit all showroom associates

Motivate each member of the team to always ensure the proper functioning of the showroom

Host events at the showroom and represent the brand in all aspects of the business

Develop and implement efficient and effective sales and operational strategies

Achieve sales targets through consistent outreach

Provide market information and competitive analysis to management in accurate and consistent manner

Create and implement outreach program for new and existing clients, to be coached to team with follow through and high standards that align with the brands

Properly maintain facilities and liaise between building management and SDG management

Regular communication with corporate office, customer service and sales team

Styling and managing the visual merchandising of the showroom

Brand ambassador at industry events, press related events, and social events within the showroom and outside the showroom

Sales targets met

Showroom visitor and sampling statistics

Improvement of customer satisfaction

Customer generation and outreach

Effective and appropriate understanding and representation of all brands achieved

Development of a high performing team, including swift resolution to under performance

Objectives prioritized, set, managed, and achieved

Timely reporting

Role model for the company values and behaviours with internal and external stakeholders

Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree from accredited University or College

NY, NJ, or CT driver’s license

Proven management and team leadership

5 to 10 years of experience in the interiors industry with proven track record of achieving targets and driving sales growth in a business

Ability to lead and motivate a team

A passion for our brands coupled with excellent communication and presentation skills are essential

A self-starter with excellent commercial acumen

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to customers and the desire to develop these skills further

Willing to travel when necessary

Strong mentor - coaching and people management skills

Ability to offer and overcome adversity and challenges through solutions and positivity

Strong analytical skills with the ability to build and explain financial models

Comprehensive computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
