Production Support Specialist

Brooksource is looking for a Production Support Specialist to join their #1 Banking client in the Columbus area. In this role you will on the Wealth & Advisory technology team to troubleshoot, debug, evaluate and resolve impacting. The position requires a combination of strong troubleshooting, technical and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Learn how our applications operate, including all integrations, and understand how the business uses them to deliver value

Diagnose and resolve application issues to ensure optimal performance and usability for the various system users

Provide root cause analysis with recommendations for improvements

Participate in triage discussions that are both technical and operations in nature

Partner closely with other technology leads to assist with design, development and implementation of needed batch and API integrations.

Programming and debugging duties will be required in order to develop queries/reports of varying complexity and to troubleshoot and fix programmatic issues

Provide technical explanations both verbally and as part of meaningful technical documentation is a requirement of this role.

Must be able to think creatively to implement improvements and coordinate enhancements or fixes to the overall solution.

Basic Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years’ experience in related field

Advanced skill in configuring and supporting software applications.

Experience working with DataStage, Databases and SQL within a Java Spring Boot environment, Incident Management, and .NET or comparable development skills

Ability to communicate complex technical concepts.

Advanced skill in creating and maintaining technical documentation.

Strong organization, prioritization, and attention to detail.

Effective communication skills; verbal, non-verbal and written; and ability to communication on all levels of the organization.

Show drive and interest in learning new systems, applications, technologies, and most importantly business domains.

Will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and will be good at multitasking.
