Design Manufacturing Engineer

Statesville, NC Metal Fabrication company is seeking a Manufacturing/Design Engineer with experience in Metal Fabrication!

Work as a part of an engineering team and assist in all aspects of quoting, creation of processes, customer communication, quality verifications, ISO implementation, and manufacturing support.

Skill Set Desired:

Assist manufacturing operations on site by:

Ensuring proper tooling and equipment needed are available

Ensuring proper files and documents are available pertaining to specifications of finished goods

Troubleshooting problems

Designing specialized tooling fixturing

Reviewing work orders

Identifying process improvement opportunities

Compiling project data for review

Working with Estimator

Processing Engineering change Request forms submitted to Engineering Department

Generating engineering change notices

Assisting or filling in for quality staff as required

Completing other related duties as assigned by engineering manager

Required Experience:

Ability to use Inventor efficiently without supervision

Creating models/dxf/shot drawing as necessary

Being familiar with metal fabrication, kerf and blend allowances

Metal Fabrication (2 years prefered)

Proven engineering experience (2 years preferred)

Knowledge of manufacturing systems and proedures

Strong time management skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational and planning skills

Proficient in MS Office

Ability to work with others from a variety occupational backgrounds

Hours: Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm (30 minute lunch)

Salary: based on experience

Education:

Engineering degree helpful but not necessary provided there is sufficient

Experience in modeling/design 2D and 3D designs in AutoCAD to work independently.
