Our client is seeking a dynamic individual to join their team on a full time basis as a Senior Network Security Engineer.
Role Summary/Purpose
The Network Security Engineer (NSE) is responsible for the design, implementation, documentation, and operation of the network security tools and provides support to the Security engineering team. This position is responsible and accountable for the technical aspects of the enterprise information security architecture, stability, and resiliency related to network security solutions. This position requires in-depth knowledge of current security practices, regulations, standards, configurations, and key technology. They will be a subject matter expert and technology leader in the security space with strong foundation of network security, including IDS/IPS, firewalls, and DDoS mitigation techniques.
REQUIREMENTS:
MINIMUM 5 years of relevant work experience
CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or other relevant Certifications
Meraki Network Operator Certification
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
Experience with Networking and Firewalls: Palo Alto NextGen, Cisco Meraki, Cisco ASA, FortiGate
Experience managing 15+ firewalls in an Enterprise
Experience implementing and managing End-point protection using SCCM
Strong level of experience with Microsoft suite of Products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows 10
Familiarity with Azure and AWS
Familiarity with SaaS solutions such as Salesforce, Workday, SAP, and Office 365
Knowledge of external DNS management, VLANs, DHCP, WiFi, Backup, network segmentation, etc.
Apply knowledge of security principles, policy, and regulations to daily tasks
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead implementation and deployment, manage, and maintain network security tools
Designing and building custom policies within each tool to facilitate alerting and workflow requirements.
Management of End-Point protection solutions
Management of highly technical security appliances
Management of HIDS/HIPS devices
Considered a subject matter expert in their field and is expected to stay current with various technologies, organizational goals and industry trends to drive value. Provide operational management and engineering of Firewalls, IDS/IPS
Maximize network security infrastructure performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
Investigate faults in the network security infrastructure
Monitor networks/logs/systems for security breaches or intrusion using the latest security tools and techniques such as SIEM, Vulnerability management, End-Point Security
Manage the relationship with 3rd party vendors as the subject matter expert to complete projects or troubleshoot issues, as assigned
Monitor and manage the Enterprise domain controllers and DHCP, DMARC, SPF, DKIM
