Java Technical Lead

Job Title: Java Technical Lead

Location: Cincinnati, OH/Onsite (5 days/week)

Position type: Contract

This role requires proficiency in containerization, Git, Java, Microservices and Spring Boot. It's nice to have experience with Amazon Elastic Container Service, AWS, and OpenShift.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Expertise in Java/Spring Boot, with experience in Java 17+.

Experience in REST API development.

Familiarity with containerization.

10 + years of experience

Knowledge of software development best practices.

Experience with Git and GitHub.

Understanding of software development methodologies.

Knowledge of security best practices in software development.

Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience in development using OSX.

Proficiency in Unit Testing with JUnit.

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience with 12-factor applications.

Microservices development using Node/ExpressJs.

Knowledge of AWS and familiarity with Elastic Container Service (ECS).

Experience in greenfield application development.

Proficiency with Terraform.

Configuration and tuning of Tomcat Embedded.

Familiarity with HashiCorp Vault.

Experience with Jenkins CI/CD.

Knowledge of OpenShift.
