Construction Superintendent - Projects

A highly reputable General Contractor in Greater Detroit is looking to add a Senior Superintendent to their team. Responsibilities

Supervise the on-site team from the beginning of construction until project completion.

Proactively identify and address design flaws, scheduling issues, and other project-specific challenges.

Conduct preconstruction meetings with subcontractors before each phase of work begins.

Establish and update project schedules

Assist in developing scopes of work for subcontractors and review them.

Review and approve invoices and requisitions for accurate vendor payments.

Ensure adherence to OSHA safety standards by enforcing safety protocols on the job site.

Manage and evaluate project personnel, fostering a positive work environment.

Maintain regular communication with owners, construction managers, fellow superintendents, and project coordinators to track progress.

Qualifications

10+ years in a Superintendent role at a General Contractor

Successful track record running ground-up projects valued at $15M or more

Experience working on Light Industrial projects is highly preferred; additional, relevant project experience will be considered

Design/Build experience is a huge plus

OSHA 30 certification preferred

Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent

Procore or Microsoft Project experience
