Responsibilities:

Taking ownership of the financial planning and analysis processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range strategic planning.

Conduct thorough pricing analysis, including cost analysis, value-based pricing, and pricing elasticity studies, in determining optimal pricing structures.

You will also be responsible for the oversight of all financial aspects related to grants, contracts, and other funding mechanisms within our medical research organization.

Manage the full funding lifecycle, from proposal preparation to closeout, ensuring compliance with funding agency requirements and organizational policies.

Develop and maintain financial models to support business decision-making and driving operational efficiencies.

Monitor pricing performances and market trends, making recommendations for adjustments as needed to maximize revenue.

Prepare accurate and comprehensive financial reports, including budget variance analysis, cash flow projections, and grant performance metrics, for internal and external stakeholders.

Stay informed about industry trends, competitor pricing strategies, and emerging technologies in the medical IT sector.

Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits, providing documentation and support as needed to facilitate compliance reviews and resolve audit findings.

Collaborating cross-functionally with research and compliance teams to facilitate effective communication and coordination of financial activities.

Build and maintain positive relationships with funding agencies, sponsors, and external partners to enhance collaboration and support the organization’s mission and goals.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or certification (e.g., MBA, MPA, CPA) would be hugely advantageous.

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in financial management, with some experience in product (preferably B2B software) pricing, and the facilitation of government grants and contract administration, preferably in the medical research or healthcare industry.

Strong analytically and proficient in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
