Controller Fintech experience hybrid

CV Resources has partnered with a technology based lending company in El Segundo who are seeking a Controller in their fast and growing Accounting department.

**This is a hybrid position**

Controller duties

Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior managers by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data

Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls

Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data

Must have strong experience in Audit

Help develop and support short- and long-term operational strategies

Maintain, manage, and analyze financial statements, payroll, budgets, tax compliance issues

Establish (in coordination with CFO) financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on biweekly, monthly, and annual basis

Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity

Required skills and qualifications

Ten or more years of professional accounting experience within a lending company

Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis

Working knowledge of audit

Merchant cash advance and leasing experience

Working knowledge in any secured and non-secured loans

Strong knowledge in Revenue recognition

Strong knowledge in QuickBooks

Preferred skills and qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business, accounting, or related field

10 plus years of experience as a Controller in the lending industry

Professional certification, such as CPA (certified public accountant)
