This role is critical in ensuring seamless integration and transition within our hospital's healthcare information systems as we prepare to transition to Epic in 2026. The Integration Architect will play a key role in maintaining system stability, coordinating data flow, and supporting end-users remotely through this transition period. The project is expected to last approximately two years, providing crucial support during the legacy phase of our systems.

Responsibilities:

Integration and Support: Maintain and support the integration of Cerner clinical systems with Siemens Soarian financial systems remotely, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance.

Legacy System Maintenance: Oversee and manage the legacy clinical and financial systems, including troubleshooting, data extraction, and system optimization to meet current operational needs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams, including IT, clinical staff, financial departments, and external vendors, to ensure smooth communication and integration across all platforms.

Transition Planning: Partner with project management and IT teams to develop and implement a comprehensive plan for transitioning to Epic in 2026, focusing on minimizing disruption and ensuring continuity of care and financial processes.

Technical Expertise: Provide remote technical guidance and support to stakeholders, including training and knowledge transfer to ensure system familiarity among end-users and support teams.

Compliance and Security: Ensure all integrations and data flows comply with healthcare regulations, data protection standards, and security best practices.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, integrations, and troubleshooting activities. Prepare regular reports on system performance, issues, and project progress.

Qualifications:

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience working with Cerner (clinicals) and Siemens Soarian (financials), with a strong understanding of healthcare integration and hospital operations.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in integration technologies, data management, and system troubleshooting. Experience with HL7 interfaces, SQL, and other relevant integration tools is highly desirable.

Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and facilitate collaboration among diverse teams.

Project Management: Experience in project planning and execution, with the ability to work effectively within a defined timeline and manage multiple tasks concurrently.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing integration challenges.

Project Duration: This is a full-time consulting role expected to last approximately two years, from 2024 to 2026, as our client transitions from legacy systems to Epic.

Location and Remote Work: This role is remote, allowing flexibility in work location. Occasional travel to the client's hospital facility or vendor sites may be required for critical meetings or on-site support as part of the project.

Note: Some job duties may change as we get further clarification on this role from our client.
