Construction Project Manager

An award-winning general contractor with a diverse project portfolio is looking to hire a Project Manager with knowledge of building commercial construction projects in the range of $20M-$50M. Their current project backlog consists of Multifamily, Affordable Housing, K-12, Higher Ed, and Healthcare.

Job Description:

The project manager is responsible for the complete oversight of their assigned construction project from initial design to completion. Additional responsibilities include:

· Solicit sub-contractor bids

· Assist the preconstruction team in preparation of budgets and estimates

· Coordinate permit applications for review, approval and submittal

· Create and maintain detailed project schedules

· Work alongside of Superintendent and additional project management staff to ensure successful completion of project

· Review closeout documentation and job costs

· Visit job site to ensure that project is running according to schedules

· Meet with owners, developers, architects, engineers and other stakeholders

· Assist in training of junior staff on project teams

· Monitor project progress and profitability

· Additional responsibilities included

Requirements:

· Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field

· Minimum 5+ years in a construction Project Management position at a general contractor

· LEED familiarity a plus

· Familiarity with scheduling software such as Procore

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Past project experience working on mixed-use, multifamily, affordable housing, student housing or senior living highly preferred (mix of both wood and steel frame structures)
