JOB SUMMARY
The Staff Manufacturing Engineering Technician assembles, troubleshoots, and provides repair service to complex electro/mechanical devices from an electrical schematic, mechanical drawing, SOP, or work instruction. The products include all company divisions: Brand, Currency, Tax Stamp, Oil and Gas.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assemble or service devices and systems for new and existing customers, meeting OTD and quality requirements.
Work with development team assisting with prototyping, design improvements, assembling and testing devices and systems.
Assemble, troubleshoot, and service existing devices and systems without supervision.
Proactively solves problems on engineering and released to manufacturing products and provides recommended course of action when needed.
Analyze, interpret, and formulate testing results for preproduction and released to manufacturing devices and systems.
Reliably record data for both preproduction and released to manufacturing devices and systems.
Work closely with engineering staff, as well as, working independently per test protocols.
Perform software update installation and final verification testing across highspeed sensors.
Candidate Competencies:
5+ years’ experience in a design, development, and manufacturing environment
Associate degree in Electronic or Mechanical technology desired
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience working with embedded systems, electronic and mechanical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, data acquisition systems, calipers, micrometers.
Excellent soldering and prototyping skills including surface mount technology
Ability to read and understand schematics and mechanical drawings.
Strong computer skills with MS Office
Creative team-player with excellent communication skills
Education and Experience:
Associate degree in Electronic or Mechanical technology or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years of experience working in an engineering and manufacturing lab.
WORK REQUIREMENTS
Working in a manufacturing and engineering lab.
Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 25 pounds of weight
Understanding of electro, mechanical and optical principals
The ability to use Microsoft Office
