My client is seeking a Northeast Market leader in the Drinking Water Sector, with the ability to establish strategic business alliances and oversee significant projects in collaboration with municipal clients in the Northeast. As a Market Lead, you'll need to comprehend client organizations and processes, foster consistent relationships at all levels, and actively cultivate water-related opportunities.

As the new Market Lead, you'll be part of a team committed to collaborating with municipalities and utilities, delivering a diverse range of water projects—from initial studies through design and construction.

Key Responsibilities:

Contribute to developing a regional Water Market Strategy, delivering cutting-edge technology and sustainable solutions for clients, and actively diversifying our client base.

Directly engage with new and existing clients, focusing on developing and expanding our Northeast client base.

Develop account plans and client strategies, tracking activities via our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

Plan, schedule, and conduct engineering work on projects for multiple local clients of medium to large sizes with a moderate to complex nature.

Manage teams, budgets, schedules, contractual obligations, and quality standards.

Contribute to and lead teams preparing proposals, interview materials, and negotiating contracts with clients after selection.

Identify teaming partners and sub-consultants for project services.

Participate in professional associations, presenting technical papers and engaging in committees within local or national professional societies of strategic importance.

Identify the need for recruitment of new employees and participate in the selection process.

Minimal travel as requested.

Qualifications:

Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in planning, designing, and constructing water and/or wastewater treatment facilities, wastewater collection systems, water transmission/distribution projects, pipeline rehabilitation projects, and pump stations.

Expertise in drinking water quality and advanced water treatment processes is essential.

B.S. in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.

Strong understanding of project delivery tools and metrics, with a proven history leading project delivery teams to meet client expectations successfully.

Demonstrated success in client service and business development with strong existing client relationships.

Attributes include excellent oral and written communications, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis and technical problem-solving, and a strong organizational approach.

Proven track record in developing and maintaining strong client relationships resulting in the creation and procurement of new and repeat consulting work.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.

Over 20 years of experience in municipal water/wastewater engineering.

Experience with advanced treatment systems, including membranes, ion exchange, and advanced oxidation processes.

Experience with design management.

Experience with alternative delivery models and program management.

Strong leadership abilities and experience managing diverse and remote teams.
