We are looking for a clinician with experience treating mental health and substance use disorders. Modern Assistance Programs is an Employee Assistance Program and we provide counseling and case management to our members. This is a salaried position based in Quincy, MA.
Responsibilities:
§ Provide short-term, solution focused, individual, group and/or family counseling.
§ Conduct mental health and substance use evaluations and assessments for the purpose of crisis intervention, formulating diagnosis and making level of care determinations for inpatient psychiatric and substance use treatment.
§ Experience with Diversity, Equity and Inclusion trainings.
§ Provide clinical case management services, including utilization review for ongoing inpatient treatment, assessments and referrals for specialty services, and treatment and aftercare planning.
§ Facilitate a minimum of one substance use or mental health education group, per week, in our Intensive Outpatient Program.
§ Adhere to company policies and professional code of ethics and maintain a high level of ethical conduct with respect to individual clinical practices and behavior.
§ Maintain accurate and current records and clinical notes in accordance with company policies and state licensure requirements.
§ Participate and attend clinical staff meetings and receive feedback from clinical supervision.
Qualifications and Experience:
§ Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology or other Master's degree with a concentration in Mental Health Counseling or Clinical Mental Health Counseling from a Recognized Educational Institution.
§ LCSW/ LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT license or license eligible. If working towards your license, supervision is included.
§ 2 years professional mental health or substance use experience preferred
§ Experience working with diverse populations and underserved communities.
§ Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of multidisciplinary clinical team.
§ Strong written and verbal communications skills.
§ Experience or familiarity with technologies used in a behavioral health organization (Tele-Health, Patient Management System) and proficiency in MS Office Suite expected.
Position Type and Location:
Full-time, benefitted. Thirty-six hours per week (Monday-Thursday 9AM-5PM, Friday 9AM-1PM). On-call required once every 6 weeks. Must be able to reliably commute to Quincy, MA. This is a fully onsite position with the option for remote work one-day per week once trained.
