The Account Coordinator (AC) is an integral part of the account teams, implementing PR tactics, and supporting client services through research, writing, logistical and administrative functions. This professional applies analytical skills to gather available information relevant to our clients and creates compelling written content. The AC is responsible for assisting in project execution and daily client service, handles routine media relations activities, monitors traditional and digital media, and owns the collection and tracking of results to ensure accurate reporting.
Responsibilities
Supports the account teams with the implementation of PR campaigns/activations.
Drafts press materials, biographies, backgrounders, etc.
Prepares and distributes press documents.
Assists in planning and coordination of special events and promotions.
Leads account administrative duties, such as weekly and monthly reporting, ongoing calls, schedule management, billing, and vendor processes.
Creates and maintains curated influencer and media lists. Handles media inquiries, monitors media and successfully places stories for clients.
Provides daily monitoring and analysis for client, industry, and competitor coverage
Supports the development of strategic projects by researching PR, social media, and digital initiatives
Requirements
A minimum of 1 (one) year of work experience or 2 internship experiences in a professional services firm, public relations, social or marketing communications
BA or BS degree; graduate degree in communications or relevant area
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Excellent communication and writing skills and spotless grammar
Excellent interpersonal skills
Analytical skills as it applies to research and reporting
Ability to work under pressure and on multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to meet deadlines
