Job Summary

Entelligence is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to support the team in Houston, TX. The IT Manager oversees coordinating, planning, and leading computer-related activities in an organization. This position assists with determining the Sr. Systems Administrator needs of an organization and is responsible for implementing computer systems to fulfill the organization's information systems requirements. The goal of the Senior Systems Administrator is to continuously improve the overall technology strategy and security program in an ever-changing IT environment.

Responsibilities

Leads large IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services

Manage the IT infrastructure and IT support function for Entelligence

Monitors performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure

Analyzes business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs

Initiates, coordinates, and enforces systems, policies, and procedures per the NIST CSF guidelines.

Maintains organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining and delivering strategic plans for implementing information technologies

Aligns strategic goals with client goals by researching practices and user projects

Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards

Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures per the NIST CSF guidelines.

Anticipates potential issues and discover solutions utilizing industry best practices

Troubleshoots hardware and software issues related to internal IT

Maintain Entelligence’s Information security program by reviewing existing and adding new IT security and compliance policies.

Work as the IT Security POC for Entelligence, respond to clients IT security questionnaires.

Required Skills and Abilities:

Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems

Experience with Azure AD, Conditional policies, Enterprise applications, SSO, Intunes, Autopilot and Jira IT Service management.

Strong understanding of EDRs, Backup systems and Microsoft security and compliance centers.

Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills

Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize

Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices

Communicates effectively and timely to provide updates and share information

Demonstrates leadership and works collaboratively to accomplish goals

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to function well in a high-paced, highly changeable and at times stressful environment

Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint; Google Docs; and web-based applications

Represent the Entelligence values while working with all levels of the organization and clients

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience

2-5 years of experience working in IT operations

Ideally certified in Microsoft 365 (MS-900, MS-500, AZ-500, SL-480, MCSA, MCSC, etc.)

Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies

Experience managing an organization’s cybersecurity program
