LHH is currently recruiting for a temp-to-hire Legal Assistant for a large law firm client in Raleigh, NC. The legal assistant will assist assigned attorneys with litigation matters and administrative support needs. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a stable and well-respected law firm.
Responsibilities
Scheduling the calendar of activities of attorney, including depositions and client meetings
Opening matters; set-up and organization of electronic files
Time entry assistance
Composing, transcribing and editing of legal documents and correspondence
Ensure documents are properly filed with appropriate courts, including submission of paper and electronic filings
Preparation of reports from matter management system
Qualifications
Minimum of two years of law firm experience supporting litigation attorneys
Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience in court filings
Ability to multi-task
Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail
