API Support and Migration Engineer

Knowledge and understanding of REST API consumption, development, monitoring

Understanding of REST API authentication types

Experience in supporting and troubleshooting REST APIs

Conceptual understanding of Cloud-hosted API management solutions

Conceptual knowledge of Cloud computing concepts, especially PaaS offerings

Experience in supporting and interacting with PaaS cloud solutions, especially in Azure

Conceptual knowledge of Cloud networking and virtual private networks

High-level knowledge of production deployment process

Hands-on experience in migrating or upgrading infrastructure or applications to new mediums

Understanding of production safety processes and standards

Description

This role will focus on implementing API migrations from an unmanaged APIM instance to an APIM platform that supports API security, network security, and monitoring solutions. APIM engineers will also implement changes to existing APIs to enable them to better conform to a Cloud-agnostic API management solution. All migration efforts must be performed while emphasizing production safety to ensure critical application reliability.
