As a Supply Demand Planner in the furniture industry, you will play a critical role in optimizing inventory management, ensuring timely production, and meeting customer demand. You will collaborate with various teams including production, sales, and logistics to forecast demand, plan procurement, monitor productions, manage vendors and coordinate inventory levels. Your analytical skills and understanding of market trends will be essential in creating accurate forecasts and maximizing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Supply and Demand Planning:

· Manage and maintain Buys report

· Run complete Buys for every department and create container breakdowns.

· Review and clean up buy requests and send them to team for execution.

· Review future free levels and analyze purchasing accuracy.

· Manage monthly forecast and buy planning

· Prepare detailed container breakdowns.

Production and Shipping Management:

· Refresh individual Factory WIPs and remind Vendors to update.

· Manage TPLs & Invoices

· Review/Monitor Factory WIPs

· Provide priorities to vendors.

· Review XF Dates and update accordingly.

· Investigate ETA by SKU per request.

· Update POs according to WIP

Purchase Order and Invoice Management:

· Send container breakdowns to team in buy request forms to create a comprehensive CSV Upload file.

· Upload and manage CSV files for respective Purchase Orders.

· Generate specific Purchase Orders including reorders, sample products and pilot runs.

· Review various invoices including direct container, villa, rugs, VEMW, PLDS, e-commerce, parts, and sample items.

Vendor Management:

· Obtain regular updates from vendors regarding order status, shipping, and potential issues.

· Review Vendor Performance and compare avg capacity vs containers placed on order.

· Review India + Southeast Asia Production with High Sierra Team

· Review China Production with China QC

· Review Pilot Runs + Samples with our QA Team

Internal Reporting and Coordination:

· Provide statistics and updates about items to the team and sales representatives.

· Prepare and distribute reports as required.

· Cross-training sessions with team members

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

· 1-2 years of experience in procurement, logistics, or a similar role is preferred.

· Strong organizational and time-management skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

· Familiarity with inventory management systems.

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Flexibility and adaptability to manage changing priorities.

Other Responsibilities:

Demand Forecasting: Utilize historical sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to generate accurate demand forecasts for furniture products.

Inventory Management: Develop and maintain inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize excess inventory, and reduce stockouts.

Production Planning: Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely manufacturing schedules aligned with demand forecasts and inventory targets.

Procurement Planning: Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components, considering lead times, production schedules, and cost constraints.

Sales Collaboration: Work closely with sales teams to understand customer demand patterns, promotional activities, and product launches, incorporating this information into demand forecasts.

Performance Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, and service level attainment, and identify areas for improvement.

Risk Management: Identify potential supply chain risks such as material shortages, production delays, or transportation disruptions, and develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks.

Cross-Functional Communication: Maintain open communication channels with various stakeholders including production, sales, logistics, and finance to ensure alignment of supply and demand plans.

Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, quality standards, and company policies in all supply chain activities.
