Job Description:

Our Fortune 200 Consumer Goods client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radio Systems Engineer to oversee the design and implementation of Motorola system solutions, with a particular focus on UHF/VHF solutions and trunk radio systems for a new facility being built in South Texas. As a Radio Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful deployment of communication systems, meeting project objectives, and adhering to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Motorola System Design: Lead the design phase of Motorola communication systems, including UHF/VHF solutions and trunk radio systems, ensuring they meet the specific requirements of each project.

Vendor Supervision: Act as the primary point of contact for Motorola vendors, providing guidance and oversight throughout the design and implementation process. Ensure vendors adhere to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Project Management: Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables. Ensure effective communication and collaboration to achieve project goals.

Technical Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of Motorola communication technologies, including system architecture, RF design principles, and trunking protocols. Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support as needed.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of system designs, configurations, and implementation plans. Generate regular progress reports and updates for stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and project status.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in radio systems design and implementation, with a focus on Motorola technologies.

Proficiency in Motorola system design tools and software (e.g., CPS, ASTRO 25).

Strong understanding of UHF/VHF communication principles and trunking protocols.

Proven experience in vendor management and supervision.

Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing priorities.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and interface with stakeholders at all levels.

Certifications such as Motorola Certified Service Center (MCSC) or Motorola Certified System Specialist (MCSS) are desirable.
