Job Title: Paralegal

FLSA Status: Exempt

Reports to: Associate and Lead Attorney

Join our dynamic and mission-driven law firm located in the financial district as we embark on our journey to assist Americans in fighting their debt and achieving financial freedom. We are a young firm, blending the professionalism of an established practice with the innovation and mission-focus of a startup. We are seeking passionate paralegals who have experience settling and negotiation to help advocate for our clients and provide them favorable outcomes. Our clients rely on us to provide compassionate and effective legal support as they navigate their debt-related challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Advocacy and Support:

Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients throughout their legal journey.

Rigorously advocate with on behalf of clients, ensuring their rights and interests are protected.

Build strong relationships with clients based on trust, empathy, and communication.

Legal Assistance and Case Management:

Assist attorneys with case preparation, research, and document drafting.

Manage & have ownership of case files, documents, and deadlines with precision and attention to detail.

Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and arguments.

Communication and Collaboration:

Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and team members to provide updates and information.

Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement strategies for improving internal processes and client outcomes.

Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay informed and engaged.

Negotiation and Mediation:

Utilize negotiation and mediation skills to resolve disputes and reach favorable outcomes for clients.

Collaborate with attorneys to develop negotiation strategies and tactics.

Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:

Identify and analyze legal issues, applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills to develop solutions.

Review and analyze legal documents, contracts, and agreements with attention to detail and accuracy.

Positive Attitude and Mission Alignment:

Demonstrate a positive attitude and enthusiasm for the firm's mission of helping Americans achieve financial freedom.

Approach work with dedication, integrity, and a commitment to excellence.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree and/or paralegal certification preferred or equivalent relevant experience.

Previous experience working as a paralegal or legal assistant preferred.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.

Excellent negotiation and mediation skills, with a proven ability to resolve conflicts and reach agreements.

Analytical mindset with the ability to review, interpret, and analyze legal documents and information.

Exceptional customer service skills and a genuine desire to help others.

Positive attitude, adaptability, and a willingness to learn and grow.

Passion for the firms mission and values, with a strong commitment to serving clients with care and compassion.

Compensation: Starting salary range of $50,000 – $75,000 depending on relevant experience. We hold bi-annual performance reviews to ensure we are actively identifying top performers, providing formal feedback and assessing merit increases.
