Nursing Assistant

Job Summary:

A Nursing Assistant provides support to the healthcare team in performing patient care and routine procedures such as: hygiene, care and transport of patients, care of febrile patients, patient/materials, transport equipment, conducting fall prevention rounds, facilitating safety and infection control as well as admission and discharge processes.

S/He adheres to the standard procedures in the documentation of materials, instruments and equipment that are used in the unit; as well as in transporting materials and specimens.

S/he contributes to the maintenance of a safe and hygienic environment by ensuring the order and cleanliness of the unit and relevant equipment, as well as performing other duties as directed by immediate superior.

Job Qualifications:

1. Has completed at least two (2) years of college education OR a senior high school graduate.

2. With at least 3 to 5 years of related experience; follows general instructions or procedures to accomplish tasks. Healthcare industry experience is a plus.

3. Has an exceptionally good sense of customer service.

4. Must be knowledgeable on the basic Microsoft Office applications.

5. Effective communication skills. Proficiency in the Visayan dialect and/or Tagalog is required; ability to communicate in English is an advantage.
