Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Monitoring employee attendance to ensure that the team has the manpower needed to complete projects on time.

2. Reviewing project objectives, timelines, and budgets to ensure that they are realistic and achievable.

3. Reviewing employee work products to determine whether or not they meet quality standards.

4. Meeting with senior management to discuss business goals, challenges, and possible solutions.

5. Ensuring that all employees adhere to company policies and procedures related to quality assurance.

6. Monitoring employees’ performance to identify areas for improvement or corrective action.

7. Training employees on new procedures or processes that impact their job responsibilities.

8. Conducting audits to ensure that all processes meet regulatory standards.

9. Developing and implementing quality assurance policies and procedures that align with organizational goals.

10. Regularly inspect production lines to identify and resolve any quality or sanitation issues.

11. Validate inspections for sanitation effectiveness and environmental monitoring.

12. Performs plant sanitation and food safety audits according to program, including with visitors from our customer food manufacturing companies, the Food and Drug Administration or the State Dept.

13. Apply motivation techniques to provide a productive work force.

14. Train appropriate personnel in technical quality skills and contemporary problem-solving techniques.

15. Design written food safety and security programs, operating procedures record, and report required to document satisfaction of mandated requirements including HACCP.

16. Knowledge of all phases of the Quality Control department including blending, laboratory, and sanitation procedures

17. Lead a team of 5 to 10 team members (QA Techs and Sanitation Techs) to achieve quality metrics in a manner consistent with our culture and values.

18. Provides training and instruction to team on auditing process and lean/process Improvement techniques as needed.

Job Requirements/Competencies:

Academic/Professional Qualifications:

College Graduate preferably Science Related Course (BS Food Technology, BS Microbiology, BS Biology)

Relevant Experience:

With at least 3-4 years of relevant working experience in quality control or quality assurance work.

Skills/Competencies:

§ Technical

o Knowledgeable in basic laboratory testing

o Knowledgeable in operating basic laboratory equipment

o Knowledgeable in GMP, HACCP, Quality Management System, Food Safety and Quality Assurance

o Knowledgeable in Food and Beverage Manufacturing Operations

o Analytical and research oriented

o Computer literate (Microsoft Office applications and other computer related basics)

o With good oral and written communication skills

o Resourceful, organized and systematic
