1.Appraise the work environment and the risks of exposure, identifying possible risks sources and recommending safeguards.
2. Provide description of the typical response to exposure and work with any employees that do suffer, to aid in their recovery.
4. Promote better health among employees.
5. Help employees set their own goals for good physical, mental and emotional health.
6. Whether an injury occurs at work or away from work, the company nurse will work with injured employees to help them manage their recovery so that they can return to work sooner.
7. Responsible for incorporating health promotion strategies to minimize accidents and teach workers about ways to be more responsible in the workplace.
8. Interpret and document a worker's medical complaints using medical histories and diagnostic tests.
9. While complying with laws and regulations, company nurses investigate and analyze injury trends, research possible occupational hazards, and collaborate with safety teams
10. Manage medical records, create emergency workplace preparedness plans and evaluate health care delivery systems.
