The Junior Service Technician or the Heavy Equipment Mechanic shall inspect, service, and maintain a range of heavy-duty construction equipment. He is responsible for mobilization to the job site, inspecting engines and equipment, carrying out services, conducting repairs, and providing routine maintenance.
Perform repairs on all types of machinery, including excavators, cranes, compressors, generators, and other construction equipment.
Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
Inspecting equipment to ensure that it is safe to use, performing maintenance on machines as needed, and troubleshooting problems with equipment operation.
Maintaining equipment performance by performing regular maintenance checks, including oil changes, tire rotation, and fluid levels.
Qualifications:
Vocational Degree in Automotive, Mechanical, or any equivalent experience or training
With at least 2-3 years in a similar role
With a Professional Driver’s license and can drive a four-wheel vehicle
Knows troubleshooting, overhauling, repairing, and operating heavy equipment.
With National Certificate in Heavy Equipment Servicing (Mechanical) is an advantage
Willing to work flexible hours and travel when necessary
