Head Chef

We are looking for an Executive Chef, or Head Chef for our Restaurant Cafe located in Carmen, Cagayan de Oro city. He/she will be responsible for overseeing kitchen staff and ensuring the quality of food items, consistent development and preparation of innovative and creative cuisine of the highest quality, presentation and flavor,

Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

Develop unique and cuisine appropriate menus. Actively involved in menu development and maintain updated and accurate costing of all dishes prepared and sold in the Food and Beverage operation.

Ensures that all kitchen equipment’s, cutlery and utensils are properly maintained, cleaned in accordance with the local Health Department and hotel standards.

Identify and introduce new culinary techniques.

Ensures all products are prepared in a consistent manner and meet the highest quality standards.

Enforces and strictly adheres to all applicable safety procedures specified for kitchen and food servers.

Directs and guides the kitchen staff in meal preparation, presentation, creation, plating and delivery.

Develops unique and cuisine appropriate menus. Actively involved in menu development and main updated and accurate costing of all dishes prepared and sold in the F& B operations.

Provide direction on the day-to-day operations in the kitchen.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Pre-opening experience, an advantage.

Must me knowledgeable in Irish and European cuisines

Culinary degree or equivalent qualification is preferred.

Extensive knowledge of international and local cuisines, culinary techniques, and food trends.

Work experience of at least 5+ years in a similar role/position

Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to fast-paced, agile work environment.

Advanced knowledge of professional food principles and practices

Available to work on-call, shifts, after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays.

Excellent communication and time-management skills
