Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning and Sanitization: Perform daily cleaning tasks to ensure all areas of the warehouse, including floors, walls, and equipment, are clean and free from debris, dust, and spills. Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to sanitize surfaces and maintain a hygienic environment.

Trash Removal: Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in designated areas. Monitor waste receptacles throughout the warehouse and ensure they are emptied regularly to prevent overflow.

Sweeping and Mopping: Sweep and mop warehouse floors to remove dirt, dust, and other debris. Pay special attention to high-traffic areas and spill-prone zones to maintain cleanliness and prevent slip hazards.

Dusting and Wiping: Dust and wipe surfaces, shelves, and fixtures to remove accumulated dust and dirt. Use cleaning cloths or dusters to ensure surfaces remain clean and free from allergens.

Stocking Supplies: Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need to be replenished. Assist with receiving and storing cleaning supplies in designated storage areas.

Equipment Care: Clean and maintain janitorial equipment, such as brooms, mops, vacuum cleaners, and floor scrubbers. Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to the appropriate supervisor.

Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines while performing cleaning tasks to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and report any safety hazards or concerns to management.

Collaboration: Work collaboratively with warehouse staff and supervisors to address cleaning priorities and coordinate cleaning schedules to minimize disruption to operations.

Documentation: Maintain records of cleaning activities, including cleaning schedules, checklists, and inventory logs. Report any cleaning-related issues or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred but not required.

Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals.

Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation standards.

Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.

Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with coworkers and supervisors.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all.
