Account Executive, Pharmaceutical Solutions
Our client, a Canadian company that specializes in providing solutions for government and healthcare organizations, with expertise in telehealth, healthcare technology, and medical equipment maintenance, is seeking an Account Executive, Pharmaceutical Solutions to join their team. The incumbent will focus on the company’s technology enabled Patient Support Programs.
The ideal candidate must be based in the Greater Toronto Area.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the development and execution of sales strategies aimed at managing opportunities within the Patient Support Programs pipeline across all stages of the cycle
Maintains strong customer relationships and understands their current and developing requirements
Responds in timely fashion to customer inquiries and feedback in courteous and professional manner
Ability to identify and qualify new business prospects
Monitors customer satisfaction and project progress according to project commitments
Supports the maintenance and improvement of gross margin against established targets
Seeks additional revenue opportunities with existing contracts
Manage Business Development pipeline through all phases of the sales cycle
Ongoing development and nurturing of relationships with clients and partners
Identification and cultivation of new partnerships and opportunities
Understands and optimizes effective negotiation skills and strategies
Identification of cross-selling and upselling opportunities with clients
Promotes the company’s platform and services as a solution to addressing client needs
Champions the renewal of existing client contracts and accounts while influencing proposal requirements
Review proposals and attend pricing meetings accordingly
Stay current with industry trends and developments through ongoing learning opportunities, internal communications, and self-directed study
Qualifications
Post secondary education required
5-10 years' experience in sales/business development within healthcare
Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, patient support programs, and healthcare
Success in prospecting and developing new business relations and increasing revenue
Existing contacts and relationships in the Canadian Healthcare ecosystem with essential decision makers of health organizations in the private sector
Proficient in in Microsoft Office tools, and diligent with CRM tools
Experience working on sales opportunities at all stages of the sales cycle
Experience with pharmaceutical product marketing and patient support programs considered an asset
Bilingual in English and French an asset
Excellent communication skills
Solid financial acumen
An innovative approach to identify new business
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Strong sense of urgency to achieve results
