Product Manager

Lock Search Group, a leading recruitment agency, is working on behalf of a dynamic client in the industrial sector to fill the position of Product Manager for their Filtration Products Division. Our client, a Canadian-founded and owned company, has experienced substantial growth over the past seven years, expanding to over 200 employees nationwide. We are seeking a talented individual to join their team and contribute to their continued success in the market.
Responsibilities
Product Management:
Provide technical training and onboarding for the Filtration Team
Equip the Outside Sales Team to proactively prospect for strategic products
Foster relationships with the EPC customer base, identifying new project opportunities through webinars, lunch & learns, and prospecting
Collaborate with marketing and sales to develop impactful campaigns and required collateral
Align and implement pricing strategies
Take ownership of finding and launching new products
Sales Team Collaboration and Support:
Implement the company's Sales Process to surpass portfolio sales targets
Expand product knowledge and stay updated on related industries and processes
Identify key accounts/markets for growth initiatives
Execute effective portfolio marketing and lead campaigns
Support and coach the team during face-to-face and virtual sales interactions
Conduct joint calls (face-to-face and virtual) to facilitate knowledge transfer and provide expertise
Portfolio Marketing:
Manage the development and execution of the Portfolio Marketing Plan in partnership with the Marketing and Sales Management Team
Develop annual sales forecasts
Provide input on product portfolio, pricing policy, advertising, and promotion
Gather and disseminate market intelligence
Determine target products/markets for growth
Devise digital marketing plans, including LinkedIn and Google ads
Create tailored marketing material
Assist in organizing webinars and customer training
Supplier Relationship Management:
Contribute to the development of the supplier relationship plan
Support the establishment of specific relationships as needed
Arrange regular update meetings on growth opportunities and required support
Develop training plans for staff
Ensure supplier objectives are aligned with the company's vision
Maintain open communication with the divisional manager
Other Responsibilities:
Communicate corporate policies to ensure compliance
Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional self-development
Essential Requirements
Post-secondary degree/diploma in a related field
Minimum 7 years of relevant technical sales experience, preferably in field application, sales, and industrial processes
Proficient sales skills and a tenacious hunter mindset
General understanding of industrial processes and strong account management capabilities
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and coaching skills
Advanced computer skills, particularly with Office programs
Collaborative and supportive team player
Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills with a proactive approach
Demonstrated alignment with company values
C.E.T. or P. Eng desirable (not mandatory)
Work Environment:
Fast-paced environment in a dynamic competitive industry
Regional Sales Office, Branch offices, and secondary home office
Daily face-to-face customer sales calls, telephone calls, faxes, and emails
Exposure to deadlines, multiple demands and priorities, multi-tasking, and interruptions
Daily travel to customer and supplier sites, both short and long distances, with some overnight travel required
