Temporary Need, Once Per Week, 8 hours

Our logistics team needs to make sure that our customers and patients have their medical deliveries arrive in the proper packaging, on-time, to the correct location and at the right temperature.

What You Will Achieve

Working with a dynamic team of Logistics and Supply Chain experts, you will play a critical role in the movement of temperature-controlled packaging within the warehouse. As a materials handling expert, you will be entrusted with receiving, storage, inventory control, and shipping, in compliance with corporate standards. To enable you to accomplish this task, you will make use of a variety of equipment, such as hand carts, pallet jacks and forklifts.

As part of technical operations, you will be a team member who is relied on to have a good understanding of procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment. Your decision making will help you prioritize workflows based on the available resources. You will follow standard procedures to complete tasks, some of which may vary in scope, sequence, complexity, and timing. You will contribute to the team’s success by sharing your knowledge from previous experiences.

Shift or Schedule: 1st; Once per week or 8 hours total

Pay Rate: $18.00 - $20.00 Responsibilities

Manage own time, professional development, prioritizes workflows, and accountable for own results.

Follow work instructions to verify all the steps are followed in the process.

Perform required area cleaning tasks per prescribed procedures.

Comply with Good Distribution Practices (GDP), sanitation procedures and general housekeeping as well as all safety practices and procedures.

Communicate effectively up and down the Chain of Command and maintain acceptable attendance.

Work in a team environment that supports all aspects of the material handling function.

Maintain material verification and inventory accuracy ensuring regulatory compliance in receiving, staging, shipping, and stockroom.

Operate forklift or other powered or manual material handling equipment to unload and load goods through the facility.

Maintain direct interaction with all relevant departments, such as sales, external vendors, contractors, quality assurance etc.

Facilitate an environment of continuous improvement with all team members.Required SkillsQUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED

2+ years’ experience

Thorough understanding of each job function within the work center is essential

Ability to work unsupervised, be an efficient leader and team player

Able to adapt to changing environment and situations in a constructive manner

Experience operating a forklift is preferred.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Respond to visual and audible warning indicators in a hearing conservation area.

Use computer terminal up to 2 hours of the shift

Respond to color or special indicators,

Work around moving equipment.

Wear specialized protective clothing (shoes, glasses).

Use powered material handling equipment and motor vehicle.

Work in hot or cold environment

Stand up to 5-6 hours.

Sit up to 1-2 hours.

Twist at waist 20 times/hour.

Regularly lift to 35 lbs. per activity 20 times/shift.

Occasionally lift over 50 pounds with assistance 15 times/shift.

Must be able to perform daily physical demands: lifting/pushing/stretching/walking/climbing repetitive use of upper extremities.
