Role Type: Contract through the end of 2024 (with possibility of conversion to full-time)

Job Description:
The Datacenter Technician will be responsible for the hands-on deployment, maintenance, and support of the company's datacenter infrastructure. This includes racking and stacking servers, running network cabling, performing hardware upgrades/repairs, and ensuring optimal functionality of computing equipment.
Your role will directly impact the backbone operations that power our client's cybersecurity solutions. You will collaborate closely with the networking and engineering teams to keep critical systems online and secure. The ideal candidate is passionate about data center technologies and thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Rack, stack, cable and perform infrastructure buildouts for new servers and equipment
Conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and repair datacenter hardware
Manage cabling infrastructure including fiber, ethernet, power cables etc.
Assist with installations, upgrades, migrations for server/storage systems
Configure BIOS, RAID, firmware and drivers for new server deployments
Collaborate with network administrators on datacenter connectivity and switching
Document inventory, cabling maps, procedures and knowledge base articles
Rotate on-call duties and respond to emergencies affecting datacenter operations
Required Experience/Skills:
3-5 years of experience as a Datacenter Technician
Extensive hands-on experience with datacenter hardware installations
Proficient in cable running, racking/stacking, server maintenance
Experience with Cisco UCS server blade chassis or equivalent systems
Familiarity with storage systems like NetApp, Pure Storage arrays
Strong background in physical layer maintenance and cabling (fiber, ethernet, power)
Working knowledge of network architecture (Cisco ACI, Palo firewalls preferred)
Routing, switching, and general networking administration abilities
Nice-to-Haves:
Cybersecurity domain knowledge or information security experience
Scripting abilities (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation
Hands-on cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Project management and escalation handling skills
Ability to lift 50+ lbs of equipment when needed
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred.
Pay & Benefits:
