Classified - Position - School Positions - Other Classified / Clerk / Receptionist Job Number Start Date 02/28/2024 Open Date 02/28/2024 Closing Date The duties include but are not limited to: * Responsible for the enrollment process of all students and the entry of that data into iNow.

* Sends record requests to the student's former school.

* Responsible for the maintenance and confidentiality of student records.

* Responsible for the withdrawal process of students including seeing that the Exit Interview is completed.

* Responsible for sending records of withdrawn students to the student's new school.

* Must maintain, post, and handle all transcripts.

* Responsible for distribution and collection of grade verification sheets and the posting of grades during grade reporting periods.

* Maintains the graduation co-hort data records.

* Sends official transcripts of students to colleges, trade schools, and the Armed Services.

* Answers office telephone, routes calls and responds appropriately to requests for information as needed.

* Acts as receptionist as needed.

* Performs various related office duties as assigned.

* All other duties as assigned by the principal.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a high school graduate from a regionally accredited school or have GED equivalent.

Must be computer knowledgeable with expertise in Windows, Excel, Word, WordPerfect, Access, Lotus, or other comparable or similar software.

Must be proficient in English grammar and spelling.

Must be skilled in general filing.

Additional Job Information Applicants selected for classified positions must undergo (or have undergone) an ABI/FBI criminal history background check (fingerprinting administered through sites selected and approved by the MCPSS and State of Alabama Education Department) and be declared suitable and fit to teach under state law.

Applicants selected must also pass a drug-screening test via forms provided by Human Resources during the selection process.
