ECHO is seeking a Day Support Specialist to join our passionate team of professionals in our LIFE Program. Participants in this program receive skills training, social and recreational opportunities, supervision, and personal care, and they are empowered to achieve their personal goals in life.
ECHO's mission is to empower individuals with disabilities to achieve their optimal level of personal, social and economic success. ECHO is a nonprofit that offers lifelong support for adults with disabilities. We provide skill building, job placement, day support and transportation. Our services empower individuals to be active members of the community.
Job Duties
Provide supervision and care for ECHO participants including, but not limited to:
Understand and implement person-centered individual service plans
Contribute to the development and implementation of activities
Engage participants in a variety of activities and community engagement based on the participants desires and abilities.
Provide supervision and care for the participants including personal care such as restroom support, hygiene, feeding, etc.
Follow appropriate seizure and health protocols
Maintain up-to-date documentation
Minimum Position Requirements
Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and/or directly related work experience
Considerable experience in vocational and/or day support training of persons with disabilities
Must possess valid driver's license and driving record meeting insurance requirements
