Electric Mechanic * Compensation: starting at $22.96 1st shift 6:30am to 3pm.

Monday - Friday Location: 4477 East 49th St.

Cleveland, OH BENEFITS * Medical * Dental * Vision * 401k (match) * Paid Time Off * Paid Holidays * Tuition Reimbursement * Uniform Allowance * All supplies/tools provided * Advancement Opportunity Summary: At our Cleveland Service Center site, located in Cleveland, Ohio, we re-manufacture alternators for EVO, HDL and FDL locomotives.

The Cleveland Center supplies alternators to locomotive manufacturing sites and repairs points across the globe.

The site focuses on safe, efficient processes, while continuously driving out costs.

The Electric Mechanic A is responsible for performing operations that involve but not limited to dismantling, cleaning, repairing, rebuilding of components across multiple product lines in an effective and efficient manner for the organization.

Employees are involved in 5S and lean projects.

This role will report directly to the Supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities: * Demonstrated ability with a focus on safety awareness and accident prevention.

* Clean parts * Ability to meet aggressive delivery schedules and productivity goals and to make/implement recommendations that will both improve the repair process and quality.

* Flexibility to perform all tasks required to clean parts for Alternators and Generators.

* All other duties assigned by supervision.

Requirements: 3 years of light industrial/manufacturing experience 2 years of mechanical assembly/disassembly experience 2 years of experience with power/hand and pneumatic tools.

Minimum Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED.

Requirements: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Ability to work unsupervised.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

* Ability to clearly communicate ideas and concepts.

Physical Demands: * Employee is regularly required to talk and hear.

* Employee is regularly required to see and observe small handwriting, labels, and components.

* Employee is regularly required to wear steel toe shoes, safety glasses.

* Position requires the employee to be on-site during scheduled shift to perform daily duties and responsibilities.

Work Environment: * The employee will normally work in a non-temperature-controlled environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.

During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions.

Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
