Phone Triage Nurse

Physicians' Primary Care of Southwest Florida is a premier physician owned and managed practice with locations in Cape Coral, Fort Myers, and Lehigh Acres.

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Phone Triage Nurse (LPN) for our Adult division located in Cape Coral, FL Sample of Duties: * Review daily provider-patient schedule with Clinical Coordinator and clinical team to prioritize triage to plan for an efficient flow of patient care.

* Triage daily patient phone calls in order of priority to ensure acute care needs are addressed by an appropriate health care professional in a timely manner.

* Perform medication prior authorizations.

* Assist patients in scheduling preventative services.

* Assist with patient education as needed.

* Assist in contacting patients with abnormal lab/test results and schedule follow-up as ordered by the providers when requested.

* Assist clinical staff as needed to avoid interruption of delivery of services to patients.

* Counsel patients regarding lab tests, medications, procedures, etc.

as requested by physicians.

* Schedule referrals and appointments for specialized testing and procedures as requested.

* Performs general nursing care to patients.

Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with clinical standards.
