Cost and Management Accountant

Job & Company Description:

This is a R 500 million business with plants based both in Johannesburg and Lesotho. Some of the role's responsibilities are month-end financial reporting, preparation and posting of journals, reviews of factory recoveries and cost, analysis and presentation of results. Review cost-saving opportunities to support the site performance improvement programs. An understanding of Bill of Material is very important in this role, with standard costing as the type of costing being used.

This role is going to be reporting to the CFO. Other duties include ensuring the site fixed asset register is complete and up to date.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

BCom Accounting

Good knowledge of SAP

9 years of experience in costing within a manufacturing environment

5 years of experience as a Cost and Management Accountant in a manufacturing environment

Management reporting

Advanced Excel & Microsoft office
