UNIT MANAGER - ADULT ICU

Qualifications and Requirements:

Post-Basic Diploma in Critical Care Nursing

Additional qualifications in Nursing Management and Administration

Minimum of 3 years' management experience within the private healthcare sector

Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as registered nurse

Exceptional leadership skills with a proven track record of team management and development

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Medical ICU Ward, ensuring efficient workflow and optimal patient care delivery

Lead and motivate a team of dedicated nursing staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork

Implement and maintain best practices in critical care nursing, in alignment with hospital policies and standards

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives

Manage budgetary and resource allocation for the unit, optimizing efficiency while maintaining high standards of care
