ABOUT THE POSITION

The ideal candidate would have a strong familiarity of financial instruments and experience with full-stack development and data engineering using the modern technology stack. The candidate must have excellent programming and data management skills, strong verbal/written communication skills, and be a cultural fit with an emphasis on teamwork, excellence and results.

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic development team. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the end-to-end software applications and systems, from frontend to the backend. Your expertise in programming languages, databases, and web technologies will be crucial in delivering high-quality and scalable end-to-end solutions. The role is a full time role based onsite in the KKR Gurugram office.

Role and Responsibilities

Develop and maintain the server-side components of our software applications.

Design, implement, and optimize responsive and user-friendly web interfaces using latest UI/UX technologies.

Monitor and optimize the performance, scalability, and reliability of backend systems.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, product managers, and designers, to ensure seamless integration of the frontend and backend components.

Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.

Design, implement, and optimize database structures and queries for efficient data storage and retrieval.

Perform thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve issues or bottlenecks.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies and propose improvements to enhance the backend architecture and development processes.

Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and mentor junior developers.

Collaborate with DevOps engineers to deploy and maintain backend applications in production environments.

Provide technical guidance and support to the team members as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Strong proficiency in computer science fundamentals such as data structures and algorithms.

Proven work experience as a Full Stack Engineer or similar role, with a focus on developing scalable web applications.

Strong proficiency in React, JavaScript and one or more backend programming languages (python preferred).

Experience with web frameworks and technologies, such as FastAPI, Flask or Django.

Sound knowledge of databases and experience working with relational databases like SQL Server, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.

Financial Industry experience or curiosity/savvy to learn and engage in Private Equity/Credit type of business domain.

Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Redis is a plus.

Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and experience in building and consuming APIs.

Proficiency in version control systems, such as Git, and collaborative development workflows.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and debug complex backend issues.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Additional Beneficial Skills/Knowledge

Knowledge of Accounting or Advent Geneva, Investran and/or Clearwater

Understanding of Data Engineering tools and platforms (data pipelines, data lake)

Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.

Experience in one or more of bank loans/leveraged loans, fixed-income products, CLOs, derivatives, ABS and CMBS products.
