About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Automation Tester to play a key role in our software testing efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks. The Senior Automation Tester will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts, as well as analyzing and reporting test results. The role requires a deep understanding of software testing best practices, test automation tools, and programming languages.

Roles and Responsibilities

· Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard automation tools and frameworks.

· Collaborate with the development and QA teams to identify test scenarios, design suitable test cases, and automate them for efficient and repeatable testing.

· Execute automated test suites, analyze results, and provide detailed reports to the development team.

· Work closely with manual testers to incorporate automated tests into the overall testing process and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

· Identify and report software defects and collaborate with the development team to resolve issues promptly.

· Continuously research and implement best practices in test automation to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes.

· Mentor and guide junior team members in test automation techniques and best practices.

· Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.

· Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in test automation and contribute innovative ideas to improve testing processes.

Required Experience and Skills:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in test automation, with a focus on web and/or mobile applications.

· Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, C#, or similar.

· Proficiency in s such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.

· Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins).

· Solid understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.

· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

· Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies is a plus.

· Relevant certifications in software testing or test automation (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE, CSQA) are highly desirable.
