What you'll be doing

CIBC's Corporate Security Physical Security Risk team manages proactive security risk identification through various projects and initiatives within the Bank. Subject areas included but are not limited to: physical security systems and technology; security operations; security intelligence; travel and journey management; robbery and crime prevention; threat and risk assessments; physical security; current events and business impact from a security standpoint. As a Coordinator (co-op), you will have the opportunity to support the structuring and development of the Physical Security Risk program that contribute to new and ongoing initiatives within Corporate Security; develop and support the Physical Security Risk SharePoint page and dashboards. Attend various meetings with Corporate Security stakeholders. Assist with reporting and various dashboards, as required. Network and participate in other areas of Corporate Security and CIBC. Network and build relationships within the financial and security industries

Important

You must be currently enrolled in post-secondary education and returning to full-time studies to be eligible. However, you do not need to be in a registered Co-Op program to be considered for a role.

How you'll succeed

Communication Skills: Excellent ‘soft skills’ with a priority on relationship-building and oral communication. Strong presentation and writing skills.

Organization Skills: Organization and planning skills sufficient to schedule, organize and carry out work assignments and independently adjust work schedule accordingly.

Learning agility: Willingness to learn and a positive attitude. Flexibility and ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities.

Technical Knowledge: Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Experience with audio/visual technology relating to podcasts and recording are desirable but not a necessity.

You have an interest in security. Your field of study relates to security systems, political science, public policy, international relations, or a similar discipline. Enrollment in a postgraduate degree or course in a related field is preferred but not a necessity.
