Reports to: VP of Children & Youth Programs
Job Summary: The Community Connections YouThrive Program Manager provides direct program supervision, human resource oversight, planning & implementation, quality assurance controls, & staff training to FAC’s CCYT program. CCYT targets current and former foster youth, ages 17-24, as they transition from foster care to independence as adults, connecting them to community-based resources. The CCYT PM additionally provides support, training, & resource procurement to employees in the Connect Café.
Responsibilities:
Administrative Leadership & Management
Supervise CCYT Specialists in providing quality service
Regularly meet with CCYT Specialists to provide support, guidance, evaluation/feedback
Complete employee evaluations
Monitor the workload of the Specialists
Maintain employee satisfaction, building/maintaining a sense of team
Identify the training needs & professional development needs of CCYT staff
Proficient use of SAM database
Review/approve client narratives, action plans, documentation completed by CCYT staff
Complete regular formal client file audits & informal audits, of all direct reports
Assign new referrals to Specialists
Ensure Specialists follow all requirements of the initial narrative process
Assist staff with client visits & follow-up meetings
Ensure clients receive proper support & advocacy
Maintain strong, open communication with the VP of Children & Youth Programs regarding services delivered, concerns or questions
Create/maintain community connections to increase program referrals, with other partner agencies/community stakeholders
Some travel in KS & MO to attend and/or present, conduct CCYT training/presentations, complete assessments on clients

Outcome Planning/Program Quality Improvement (PQI)
Measure the effectiveness of the program, both internal & external
Implement/lead a continuous quality improvement process
Review client files for quality assurance
Participate in client audit reviews; make updates/changes
Evaluate/implement service improvements
Financial Management
Oversee budget to ensure fiscally sound operations that meet budget expectations
Provide required information for state-contracted billing and other month-end reports
Report progress & challenges to the VP of Children & Youth Programs and CFO
Assist with the execution of grants as required
Strategic Planning
Assist in implementing growth strategies
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Experience in any of the following: foster care, kinship care, homelessness, mandatory family-centered systems of care services in their home
BA/BS in social work, psychology, public administration, or a related human services field preferred
Previous leadership/management experience preferred
2+ years experience in non-profit social service agencies required; experience working directly with at-risk youth preferred
Flexible self-starter able to multi-task; detail-oriented; able to meet deadlines
Strong communication & interpersonal skills respectful of children, adults, and their families
