Sierra Peaks is seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of our operations at our Rockland, Maine Site. The Operations Manager will be responsible for optimizing efficiency, implementing processes, and ensuring the smooth functioning of day-to-day operations while maintaining the highest standards of quality. The Operation Manager will oversee the entire production and engineering team at our Maine Site. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record of driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Assist with projects, as needed from departments and leadership.

Identify opportunities for streamlining and enhancing operational processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall service quality.

Improves existing processes and procedures and provides ideas for new processes and procedures.

Document processes in any/all departments.

Create systems to ensure all work is completed efficiently.

Establish priorities for the production team based on the current demand.

Collaborate effectively with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners to ensure a seamless supply chain, on-time deliveries, and efficient inventory management.

Monitor customer feedback and promptly address any operational issues to enhance overall customer satisfaction and maintain our reputation for excellence.

Generate regular reports and updates on operational performance for management and stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making.

Develop and implement training programs to enhance employees' understanding of quality management principles and practices.

Provide leadership and guidance to the operations team to foster a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement.

Communicate resource availability and needs across all Sierra Peaks Sites.Competencies

Ability to manage multiple projects on time, on budget and with great quality.

Ability to accurately document processes, while showing how they connect so that team members can understand and apply them and be held accountable to fulfilling them.

Demonstrate an aptitude for efficient problem solving.

Must have an aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels.

Must have the ability to deal with different personalities, cooperate with other team members and work under pressure.

Ability to serve as a liaison between different departments.

Self-starter mentality with the ability to work autonomously, taking ownership of day-to-day operations.Requirements

Bachelors degree in business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred

Proven experience in operations management or a similar role, preferably in Manufacturing Experience working with engineers and manufacturing technicians.

Familiar with quality management principles; experience with ISO 9001:2015 is a plus.
