Job Description & Summary

This position is responsible for assisting in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems for clients as assigned. The Apprentice Electrician will work under the supervision of Master Electrician and assigned Lead. Work is often outdoors and working conditions range from frigid to hot temperatures, high winds, flying dust, slipping hazards and conditions, and frequently exposed to loud noise from heavy equipment and machinery.

Job Functions & Responsibilities

Learn and adhere to Pneumatech' s safety policies and procedures.

Assist with troubleshooting electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, motors, panels,

Help install, maintain, and repair electrical systems such as switch gears, motor controls, electrical panels, lighting, powered devices, and DC systems.

Construct electrical systems of panels, equipment and raceways using power drills, taps, saws, and basic hand tools.

Help install power supply wiring and conduit such as EMT, Rigid conduit, MC cable, strut, and cable tray.

Measure, cut, thread and bend conduit, using measuring instruments, hand tools, power tools and bending equipment.

Trace out short circuits in wiring, using a test meter.

Examine electrical units for loose connections and broken insulation and tighten connections using hand tools.

Clean and maintain work area and washing parts.

Maintain tools, vehicle, equipment, and keeping parts and supplies in order.

Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally.

Demonstrated problem solving capability.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Desire to increase job knowledge by participating in learning opportunities and continuous improvement classes specific to job functions.

Automation, Controls & PC skills are a plus.

Education, Experience and Skills Required

Minimum 1-year electrical experience (2+ years of electrical experience preferred)

Previous oilfield experience and knowledge is preferred.

High School Diploma/GED or higher level

Basic computer knowledge (windows, email, internet, etc.)

Good communication skills

Basic math skills

Reading skills (basic instructional and technical information) -OR-

An acceptable combination of education and experience

Must have a clean driving record.

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: From $18-$25 per hour
