This position is for a Group Travel Agent with Sabre Ticketing experience. The ideal candidate will participate in the design and execution of client trips for groups of from 30 to 300 participants. They will be responsible for the management of their accounts/trips with assistance from a team of travel professionals.

A minimum of 5 years' experience in the travel industry preferred.

Event planning, group travel, and vendor negotiation skills a plus.

Recent airline ticketing experience utilizing Native Sabre GDS System; advanced pricing and exchanges required.

Proficient in all Microsoft Office Skills.

Expert in Excel.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work in a team and multi-task.

Willingness to work in high-energy office environment. This is not a remote job.

Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will manage their own accounts with assistance from the team. Planning a trip takes a year + or -.

You will:

Forge relationships with trip participants, manage special requests, and answer questions.

Establish rapport with vendors; hotels/resorts, transport, restaurants, and DMCs.

Maintain an Excel spreadsheet with precise details on trip, from inception to finish.

Use Native Sabre GDS to determine optimum flight patterns (sometimes complex) and group/individual fares, make reservations, corrections, changes for groups/individuals.

Work with our team to give the client and their trip participants the best trip ever.Skills often associated with this job title:
