Rock Ridge Country Club (RRCC) is a family-oriented club, with membership ranging from young families with children to retirees. While the atmosphere is professional, it is considered to be a comfortable country club. RRCC is dedicated to providing its members an exceptional full service private club. The facility features a wonderful clubhouse and pool cabana, fabulously maintained nine-hole golf course, superior tennis and swim programs and excellent dining and social amenities. RRCC is currently accepting resumes for the position of Lifeguard. This is a seasonal position with flexible hours, beginning in May and ending in September.
Position Summary/Responsibilities
Lifeguards work directly under the supervision of the RRCC Pool Chair and General Manager. Responsibilities include:
Supervise swimming activities and ensure that policies, guidelines, and safety procedures are followed.
Warn swimmers of improper activities or danger and enforce pool regulations and water safety policies.
Administer first aid in the event of injury, rescue swimmers in distress or danger of drowning, and administer CPR and/or artificial respiration, if necessary.
Arrive promptly and prepared for all scheduled shifts and training days.
Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of all areas.
Present professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintain a high standard of customer service.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
At least 15 years of age
Certified Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certificate, or equivalent
American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, or equivalent
American Red Cross Standard First Aid, or equivalent
Knowledge of methods and techniques for providing on-site emergency medical service
Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
Consistent professional appearance and pleasant demeanor
