Job Description:

Wage based on Experience $28 to $33.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for repair and maintenance of all plant equipment, buildings, and grounds.

Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.

Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.

Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.

Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.

Repair or replace defective parts. Lubricate and clean machines.

Start machines to test their performance.

Repair electrical equipment and control systems.

Maintain records in compliance with applicable quality procedures.

Conduct plant-wide safety checks on equipment.

Complete maintenance request forms.

Complete preventive maintenance and PM books once work is complete.

Responsible for following safety standards and procedures according to OSHA and ANSI regulations.

Complete requisitions with proper approvals for maintenance items needed to repair equipment.

Must provide own tools.

Responsible for timely completion of all maintenance repairs to machinery and equipment.

Repair and PM all auxiliary equipment and tag with completed tag.

Strong desire for PREDICTIVE maintenance

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with MIG welders, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, general building maintenance, CNC machinery, frequency drives, overhead crane, and forklift repair.

Journeyman Status preferred.

The ability to read hydraulic and electrical blueprints is a must.

Must be comfortable working in/on manlifts to 35’.

Ability to comply with all safety requirements.

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; able to handle shifting priorities and deadlines; able to properly prioritize.

Experience with personal computers, networking, and windows-based software.

Have good housekeeping habits and strict adherence to safety.

Take personal ownership and pride in the quality of work.

Ability to comply will all work-related deadlines and be available as needed for overtime.

Willing to assist in our areas as needed.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Works in a plant/manufacturing environment that involves the use of industrial machinery and chemicals. Employees must be able to correctly wear and use any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required at the location.
