Property Accounting Assistant

Ferrellgas is looking for a Property Accounting Assistant to join the team.The Property Accounting Assistant is responsible for working with field locations to secure transaction information, for processing transactions in asset management database, and for reconciling asset management sub ledger to general ledger. Typically requires a high school diploma and two or more years of accounting experience.

Responsibilities

Processes fixed asset additions, retirements, transfers and adjustments into PeopleSoft for 1-2 regions.

Processes property sub-ledger verifications each fiscal year.

Reconciles sales proceeds and construction-in-progress accounts monthly.

Reviews invoices coded to AFEs to ensure that capitalization guidelines and project specifications are met.

Runs queries and provide property information to the field and other departments.

Qualifications

High school Diploma or GED.

Six+ hours college accounting or two+ years accounting experience.

Working knowledge of Excel and other MS Office applications.

Intermediate analytical and problem-solving ability.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Experience with PeopleSoft or other accounting systems a plus.

Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States
